Mobile Technology will includes such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Mobile Phones, Laptop, Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and Global Positioning System (GPS). Use of Mobile Technology in Business : Marketing Have you ever thought of doing marketing using mobile technology? By using Mobile Technology, it is not only lower your cost for marketing, but it may also increase the market share effectively! Improve Management How it can improve your management? For an example , by using technology such as Radio Frequency Identification , you may easily track your products easily from the factory until the retailing stores. Eventually, this helps the stocks are easy tracked and improves the inventory management system. Besides RFID which can help to improve management, other mobiles such as Mobile Phones , Personal Digital Assistant, and Laptop actually played a very big role in business to improve management too. For a common example, taking down notes and manage daily activities using the Personal Digital Assistant. Work Related Mobile Technology can make the job be done more efficiently and easily. A simple example, a taxi driver use GPS so that he won't get lost and know the shortest and fastest way to the destination of the customer wants. Personal Opinion In my opinion, mobile technology is really useful to an organization as it can perform many tasks such as from marketing , tracking stocks and work related. Besides the RFID technology, I believe most of the technology is already available in Malaysia and we can already start using it for good purposes in business. Investing on Mobile Technology may bring back a large return from the investment depending on how we use it.
Probably you might be asking :- "What is Web 2.0?". The term of Web 2.0 is commonly related to the upgrade of current World Wide Web, which is more interactive, user-centered and may collaborate with others. Some examples of Web 2.0 include social-networking sites, wikis, blogs, web application,hosted service and video sharing sites. Common examples: Video Sharing: YouTube Wikis : Wikipedia Social Network: Facebook & Friendster. Blog: Blogspot So, what is has to do with business? Many of you may not realize the advantages of using Web 2.0 in business, you will not regret for using it once you started it. Reducing the cost of Marketing. Organizations who use Web 2.0 for their Marketing actually saved a lot of cost without a doubt. Moreover, it may use to promote / branding a products effectively. This task can be easily be done by setting up a group in social-networks & setting up a blog. Lower cost of Public Relation. Besides marketing, it is important to have feedback from the user. Instead of using the manual and traditional way, Web 2.0 can do it with a more interesting and efficient. Peoples can give feedback, suggestion or comment easily. Everything is just on their fingertips! Collaborations Many people may under estimate on this, but an organization which has a better teamplay, and collaboration get a better competitive advantage. Web 2.0 such as Wiki is very useful to share informations. This may help a research and development being done in much faster and efficient way. Branding Information are easily reachable by customer and builds a better brand name. Personal Opinion In my opinion, Web 2.0 really helps a lot in business in many aspects as discussed. It is a new form of media where we can bring a lot of informations and technology to the consumer & customer. I believe in a few more years time, it will be widely used in this country, Malaysia too as it has a bright prospect.
